In partnership with the tech bros, we’re proud to present our Bad Ideas Build Day. This event is aimed at Women in STEM in Liverpool & surrounds.

Our events are open to builders of all levels, including complete beginners. Thank you to Codecademy for providing one month of free Codecademy Pro to our Build Day participants (details for this will be sent out after registration) & to Startups Magazine for being our media partner.

In the Build Day, you’ll collaborate with a team – potentially including people you’ve never worked with before – to develop a deliberately ‘bad’ idea. Teams will be formed based on skill levels, and you’ll have the opportunity to bring your concept to life using a range of creative tools such as Figma for design and prototyping, JavaScript (with frameworks like React and P5.js), HTML/CSS, and even Python for rapid development. Whether you’re coding, designing, or brainstorming wild ideas, the challenge is to take an idea from zero to a presentable state- all without the pressure of perfectionism. No coding experience? No problem – you’d be surprised at how much you can learn in a day!
